I recently used ASR Moving Systems to move my two-bedroom condo from Toronto to Montreal, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end., ASR made everything simple and stress-free. Their flat-rate price was one of the biggest advantages—clear, fair, and competitive. There were no hidden fees or unexpected charges, which gave me confidence right away.

They were professional, organized, and careful with all my belongings. Furniture was wrapped securely, fragile items were protected, and everything was handled with attention and respect.

The delivery in Montreal was just as smooth.

Overall. I’m very satisfied with the entire experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and affordable moving company. They truly made a big move feel easy.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2800

We moved on July 10 and the movers were pleasant. However when I called Nick he refused to deal with me. My husband sent him pictures of the dining table that has scratches and a nice dent in the middle -- can't cover it with a runner because it is located beside the runner. I dining chair also has a dent in the arm. The couch has a nick on the corner -- as does the loveseat. These are leather! The chair has 2 lovely rips on the back. None of this damage existed before the move. He lied and said he offered insurance for $300 -- he never mentioned needing extra insurance. He paperwork shows Insured and Bonded.

After several phonecalls he said he would send us his insurance liability form. Never did. Claims that his insurance will cover 60 cents per pound -- Not One Penny has been offered or Received.

0 stars for Nick -- we will never use them and I will post photos of the damage to all our lovely furniture -- which is no longer loverly -- on facebook.

I had advised ASR Movers by email that I had a piano that needed to be moved. ASR Movers sent 2 VERY INEXPERIENCED movers without proper equipment. My quoted price was $295 for 3 hours (including travel time) and it took the 2 movers 1 hour just to move my piano. After that, they moved my boxes one by one to their truck. In the end I was charged 2 extra hours for $75 each hour and they refused to offload my items until I paid. THEY PURPOSELY WORKED AT A SLOW PACE JUST TO EARN MORE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I would like to warn people about ASR movers.

We hired them to move our one bedroom apartment, and they arrived an hour and a half late. The original two men were pretty good but one of them got an injury less than an hour into working. They were replaced by two others, with the four outside laughing and goofing off for about ten minutes before the new ones started working.

These two replacements were slow, inept, sloppy, had little regard for our stuff, and complained repeatedly. I was quoted $360 for 3 hours of work and an extra $80 each hour afterward. It took them almost three hours to load less than a one bedroom apartment of stuff into the truck with me helping them and somehow being faster than they were, and they claimed that they needed to do two loads with a twenty footer for the job. (Their boss now says they had an 18.) Upon arriving to the new apartment, they ransomed our belongings demanding 2 hours of pay in advance before they would unload. They stood around by their truck waiting for over a half an hour as we were sent borrowed money we did not have, attempting to inflate our costs with 'stair fees'. They then later tried to ransom us for another hours pay, including the half an hour they did nothing, because they went back and spent half an hour slowly and lazily chucking more of our stuff into their truck while complaining the whole time. This time it was all minor things, other than an ottoman and chair. The workers response to complaints or us refusing to pay yet more money for their ineptitude was 'call the company', while they stood around.

Calling the boss gets you insulted, told your 'making excuses' or 'playing tricks', and hung up on. Extremely unprofessional. He doesn't care if they are bad and slow at their job because it means more money for them.

If my fiancee and I hadn't done half the work it would have taken hours more. I was bouncing back and forth on buses to go between the two apartments and ensure they actually did work and to help them. Went back to the apartment for the pointless second load to find them sitting in their truck, waiting for me to get there to start working. I was consistently faster than these supposed 'professional movers', and my fiancee had to bring all of the items in from the front of the doorway because they refused to actually bring them into the new apartment. They brought in the mattress and boxspring, and complained when she demanded they bring in our hutch.

We had to call the police on them for ransoming our belongings a second time, refusing to give them back or unload them onto the curb unless we paid for more slow inept work. The police forced them to put our belongings on the curb as we had initially requested. It would have taken them at least another hour to empty the truck at their original pace if the cops were not watching them.

My fiancee and I along with a friend moved the same belongings from one apartment to another with a Uhaul truck in less than 5 hours in a freak March 1st snow storm. It was certainly hot that day, but that doesn't warrant their behaviour or demanding more money for completely unacceptable work.

A bunch of con artists, I should have read reviews. They have a terrible reputation and seem to artificially inflate their rating by posting positive reviews themselves. The only positive reviews on their Facebook page seem to be from their own employees, one of which was here doing an awful job of our move.
Incredibly sketchy company.

Avoid ASR movers at all costs.

There seems to be mixed reviews on ASR movers, with half saying they were terrible and the other half saying they were amazing. This is likely because of the different workers different people had. If you are moving with ASR, ask for these three workers:

Jaspreet, Aerish, and Gurminder

These three were amazing, professional, careful workers that did their jobs in a shorter amount of time than we expected. They were very careful with our stuff and made sure not to break anything. I highly recommend them and the ASR moving company because of how they represented it.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $870

NEVER USE THEM.. I had to move 1 king bed, futon and sofa. they took 5 hours for a barely 3 hour job(including travel). arrived 4 hours late, had over the top attitude and just concentrated on increasing time to get more money.. Inexperienced staff and needed supervision. They just want your money nothing else, No service No Professionalism. Took money while the stuff was in truck and blackmailed to move stuff if not agreeing on the cost. My whole day was just ruined because of them.

We moved 3 weeks ago and used ASR Movers.

The movers were late over 1 hour and because they were double-booked in the afternoon, the last 30 minutes was a rush-job to get paid and get to their next destination. I found that behavior unprofessional

The movers were friendly and helpful and made sure to limit any damages to the furniture however they lacked the professional attire and approach to handle this move.

Overall, the movers were helpful, however I would not recommend ASR Movers. For the price they charge, I would use another company for my next move.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $700

If you want to be scammed this is the company for you. Very slow workers who were more interested in sitting on their trucks rather than actually move things in order to inflate costs. They took 3 hours to move the stuff out and 1 hour to move it in, because I was here to watch them, tell them how to handle and transport items as they have no equipment or training for professional moving. They broke many items, damaged furniture, damaged our front lawn by driving their truck on it!! They left without taking everything. We asked them if they were coming back for the rest, they said yes and took off with the truck leaving items that will not fit in a car. The truck arrived basically empty, plenty of room for much more. They refused to provide us with a receipt, which is illegal. As with other reviewers I found they were weak, rude, unprofessional and unlawful. Beware because small claims court will cost you more than hiring professionals. Professionals may cost more but they move faster are more efficient and will end up costing the same or less than these incompetent con artists. Two guys and a Truck are AMAZING! I recommend them.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $950

My husband and I moved out of a basement into another basement (both regular style homes) about 20 minutes in distance. The movers asked to come one hour earlier to the time we booked them for because they had somewhere else to go (clearly in a rush) They damaged our dresser/chipped it, didn't disassemble or assemble any of our items, they dropped all of our stuff and left. They charged us $350 but took $384 and taxed us when we paid cash. Also, they completed the "three" hour job in two hours and still charged us $384. We moved most of the stuff on our OWN in our own two vehicles (3 hours) and only had them move the big stuff . The movers were also on the phone and having their own conversation while they were supposed to be working (talking to friends)

The only thing we had them move was a tv, small tv stand, mattress, bed box, 6 walmart size tubs with light weight clothes, two suit cases filled with clothes, a small Ikea coffee table, a small computer desk and chair (very light weight) and that's all.

VERY DISAPPOINTING certainly will NOT be moving with them again way too overpriced for half the job done.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $384

I took their service and had a bad experience where they damaged 3 of my furnitures and refused to take responsibility.

The moving guys who came for the move were very rude. They just wanted to take as long as they can and increase the hours of work. They said they will bring the bubble wrap but didn't and used an old cloth to cover the glass of my furniture which was cracked and they didn't accept.

Get a professional moving service and be in peace.

Please read carefully! Unless you can request the 2 men mentioned above, I do not recommend this moving company. On my scheduled moving day the movers that were assigned to me refused to move me on my moving date. They were absolute [EDIT]! They just decided on their own that my move was too much for them to handle. I was devastated and had no where to turn. I was unable to get another company to move me on such short notice, so I had to accept that this company would move me the day after. I tried to talk to the manager but he was no where to be found. I ended up talking to his counterpart who was sympathetic to my situation. He promised me that the men he would send the next day would certainly take care of my move.[NAME EDIT] and [NAME EDIT] showed up and performed flawlessly. They were great from beginning to the end. Thanks for a great attitude and hard work. Too bad the first two guys were as lazy as they get. Again if you can't get the two men that I mentioned above, your using this company at your own peril! Hope this helps you as you make an important choice on who you trust to be there when you need them. Enough said.

They showed up late when the elevator had been booked and demanded payment before starting, over what was quoted. Then they moved so slowly delaying the move. I was in fear that it would be held up another day because the elevator was booked and had no choice but to be out that day. I worked hard to move boxes myself to keep on schedule and gave up trying to get to my destination which was long distance. I booked a storage facility costing more money and another move. But this was a better option then having to continue with these abusive men. When we got to the storage facility they held my property ransom in the truck until I paid them more money. Once they got the money the truck was unloaded fast. I could not see what was left in the truck because I was not allowed. In the end many of my things were missing and damaged. I regret not getting the police involved. When I called the manager to try to get this sorted out he said the extra charges were for moving a sofa. I had no sofa. Beware of this company.

I regret using this company. Tried to change rate on arrival. Wouldnt take certain items or said it would 'cost extra'. (A dresser!!) Charged $1130 for 4 hours and wouldnt unload until I paid AND asked for 'a good tip'. Ignorant. Kicked boxes, stood around A LOT wasting time. I ended up sending them on their way and finished the move myself with my mother!! We could have moved everything faster than these lazy movers. Didnt wear masks or anything on their shoes. These guys are crooks. The owner of the company should be ashamed to have individuals like this representing their business.
